St. Paul's, Heaton Moor is a mix of large older dwellings (many converted into flats or residences for the elderly) and a fairly recent housing estate with a fair spread of young families. The parish of 6,000 in 3000 homes is almost entirely residential.
Sunday worship sees around 75 in church, with services at 8.00 a.m., 10.00 a.m. (except on special occasions) and 6.30. A robed choir provides choral evensong once a month, but most other services are Common Worship. The ethos is mildly liberal middle-of-the-road Anglican, but with openness to other things.
The congregation offers a good spread of pastoral care, and is looking to develop its vision both for outreach and worship.
