St John’s is holding Sunday Worship.

We have now resumed our regular Sunday service at 10.45am in church, but will continue to Zoom for those still unable to join us.

Please type in your Internet browser or click and control: . Or if you have the Zoom app, when prompted for the meeting ID - type in: 862 424 3841.

There is a password, it’s the same as last time but if you’ve forgotten or don’t know what it is please ask the churchwardens Howard Smith (; 0161 431 8204) or Ian Snape (; 0161 485 4609).

Those who attend the service at church, we would remind you that infection rates, whilst falling, are still quite high and that data is not yet available to confirm whether vaccination prevents transmission as well as infection. For the sake of our fellow worshippers and their families, we ask you to continue to follow social distancing requirements until we are instructed otherwise.

An Interregnum at St. John’s Church

St John’s is currently without a vicar following the retirement of Revd Marcus Maxwell. We will have someone appointed as soon as possible but in the meantime, a full programme of services will continue, led by a team of dedicated volunteers including Revd Janet Butterworth, members of the congregation and invited preachers.

Baptisms, Weddings and Funerals

The church is now closed during the Covid-19 lockdown but baptisms, weddings and funerals will resume as soon as possible when it is lifted.  Contact the churchwardens Howard Smith (; 0161 431 8204) and Ian Snape (; 0161 485 4609) for further information.
