A special notice for a new activity.
If you want to think more about the Christian faith in a philosophical way, St John the Baptist, Heaton Mersey, is starting a group which may be just up your street. You don’t need any philosophical background, only an interest to find out more. On the other hand, if you have some philosophical background already, expect these sessions to be a bit different from what you might be familiar with.
The group will be led by Henk Alting. There will be plenty of opportunity for discussion, with short talks on particular topics where that is helpful. Notes and background reading (not too much) will be provided to give our sessions a starting point and a focus.
The first session is on Monday 3rd June at St. John’s. Tea/coffee and biscuits will be available from 7:45 and we will start at 8:00, finishing 9:15 p.m. Meetings are planned monthly, on the first Monday evening of the month. If you would like any more information, Henk will be happy to talk to you at St. John’s or just give him a call (0161 432 9204).
